Prior to founding Ellis Porter, Marc served as in-house immigration counsel to a large information technology consulting firm and has also directed the immigration departments of two of the largest law firms in Michigan. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and also served as the Vice President of the Detroit Chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE), an entrepreneurial networking and mentoring organization. Marc speaks regularly to professional associations, companies and cultural interest groups on a variety of immigration issues. He has also authored and contributed to numerous articles addressing a variety of business and individual immigration topics in publications including Michigan Lawyers Weekly, HR Magazine (a publication of the Society for Human Resource Management), Bender’s Labor & Employment Bulletin, the Indus Business Journal, Miindia.com and USA Today. Prior to joining Ellis Porter, Shaju was a corporate immigration attorney with the largest law firm in Michigan. He has also managed the employment-based green card department of a mid-size immigration boutique firm and served as in-house counsel to an information technology consulting company. Shaju speaks regularly to professional associations, companies and cultural interest groups on a variety of immigration issues, and has served as a part-time instructor at Baker College. Shaju is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and serves as a Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association of Michigan. Department of Justice, Attorney General's Honors Program where she worked as
the Judicial Law Clerk/Attorney Advisor for the Executive Office for
Immigration Review (EOIR), U.S. Immigration Court in Detroit, Michigan. In this capacity, she researched novel immigration issues and
drafted legal memoranda and judicial opinions for the Immigration Judges. Prior to joining Ellis Porter, Lisa worked as an immigration attorney at a Metropolitan Detroit immigration law firm, where she had a lead role in managing the firm's individual and family immigration services group. Lisa specializes in individual and family based immigration law, inadmissibility and removability issues, naturalization/citizenship, and employment
