Email: chris.allen@ellisporter.com Chris is a Managing Attorney and Co-Founder of Ellis Porter with over fourteen years of experience practicing immigration law. Prior to forming Ellis Porter, Chris managed a successful immigration practice specializing in corporate immigration law and also directed the immigration department for one of the largest law firms in Michigan. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) and has served as the Department of Labor Liaison for the Michigan AILA Chapter. He also previously served as the Michigan AILA Chapter Treasurer. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan International Law Committee and the Oakland County Bar Association Immigration Law Committee. Chris is also an Adjunct Professor at Oakland University, where he teaches Immigration Law for the Legal Assistant Program. Chris was recently named to The Best Lawyers in America 2007 list in recognition of his expertise in immigration law. Prior to founding Ellis Porter, Marc served as in-house immigration counsel to a large information technology consulting firm and has also directed the immigration departments of two of the largest law firms in Michigan. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and also served as the Vice President of the Detroit Chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE), an entrepreneurial networking and mentoring organization. Marc speaks regularly to professional associations, companies and cultural interest groups on a variety of immigration issues. He has also authored and contributed to numerous articles addressing a variety of business and individual immigration topics in publications including Michigan Lawyers Weekly, HR Magazine (a publication of the Society for Human Resource Management), Bender’s Labor & Employment Bulletin, the Indus Business Journal, Miindia.com and USA Today. Prior to joining Ellis Porter, Shaju was a corporate immigration attorney with the largest law firm in Michigan. He has also managed the employment-based green card department of a mid-size immigration boutique firm and served as in-house counsel to an information technology consulting company. Shaju speaks regularly to professional associations, companies and cultural interest groups on a variety of immigration issues, and has served as a part-time instructor at Baker College.
