Catherine
Nasr
Attorney
Catherine Nasr is an immigration attorney at Ellis Porter who advises employers and professionals on employment-based immigration matters. Her practice includes H-1B, L-1, and TN nonimmigrant matters, as well as multinational manager and executive green card petitions under EB-1(c). She works frequently with clients in the automotive and engineering sectors.
Catherine provides clear, responsive guidance at every stage of the immigration process. She helps clients understand eligibility, documentation, timing, and compliance requirements, while keeping the long-term strategy in view—from temporary work authorization through permanent residence. Before joining Ellis Porter, Catherine spent nearly seven years practicing employment-based immigration for large corporate clients.
Catherine is the daughter of two immigrants. Her father came to Detroit from Egypt to attend Wayne State University, and her mother later joined him; they were the only members of their families to immigrate to the United States. Their example and emphasis on service continue to shape Catherine’s commitment to helping others pursue opportunity in the United States.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys following Detroit sports teams, reading, and spending time with family.
