Chris Batts is an attorney at Ellis Porter, focused on high-skilled immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW), and O-1 petitions for researchers. He listens carefully to clients’ concerns and goals, then works to ensure their individual needs are reflected in the legal strategy developed for their case. Chris provides clear, practical guidance and communicates proactively so clients understand their options and feel supported at every stage of the process.
Chris joined Ellis Porter after graduating from law school. His approach to immigration work has also been shaped by the experiences of international friends he met in college. Seeing the uncertainty they faced while maintaining student status and later pursuing green cards reinforced for him the importance of thoughtful advocacy and clear guidance. Outside of work, Chris enjoys creating digital art on his iPad, reading, and spending time outdoors, especially walking in local parks and exploring nature trails.
