Christopher
Ricotta
Senior Attorney
Christopher Ricotta is a Senior Attorney on Ellis Porter’s Automotive team, where he serves as a point of contact for employment-based immigration matters affecting automotive clients and their foreign national workforces. His practice includes time-sensitive nonimmigrant transfers and renewals, long-term green card strategy, and counseling for HR and business leaders navigating a changing immigration environment. He brings a practical, business-focused approach to helping employers recruit, retain, and move critical talent with confidence.
Before joining EP, Christopher spent five years practicing business immigration in Michigan, primarily serving corporate clients in the IT industry on both immigrant and nonimmigrant matters. That experience continues to inform his strategic perspective when advising employers on workforce planning, risk management, and long-term talent strategy.
Christopher is drawn to immigration work because of its direct connection to people’s futures and the opportunities it can create for both employers and individuals. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, biking, coaching his son’s street hockey, teaching piano to his daughter, traveling, and playing music by ear.
