Daniela
Benton

Attorney

Daniela Benton is an attorney at Ellis Porter, where she works with individuals and families on marriage-based green cards, family sponsorship, and waiver matters. Daniela brings together the Family Services and Waiver Services teams on complex immigration matters so clients benefit from a consistent strategy and trusted attorney throughout their case. She begins by understanding each client’s backstory and setting honest expectations about what is and is not possible.

Born in Ecuador, Daniela came to the United States with her mother when she was two years old. After they obtained lawful permanent residence through family sponsorship, Daniela worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm and later prepared both her mother’s and her own naturalization applications. She took her Oath of Citizenship during Raleigh’s International Festival, an experience that continues to inform her work with clients.

Outside of work, Daniela enjoys powerlifting and competes in local meets once or twice a year. She is also the kind of house guest who happily takes over behind the bar to mix signature drinks.
