Eli M.
Johns
Attorney
Eli M. Johns is an attorney at Ellis Porter, focused on EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW), and O-1 matters, as well as employment-based adjustment of status. He works with researchers, scientists, and other high-skilled professionals, taking time to understand the valuable work behind each case and help chart a path for clients to continue their endeavors in the United States. Eli brings clear communication, attention to detail, and empathy to a complex immigration landscape.
Eli was drawn to immigration law through his work in the New York City criminal court system, where he saw how tenuous immigration status can leave people vulnerable to coercion, abuse, and exploitation. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, backcountry hiking, fly fishing, sailing, and historical restoration. He grew up on a family farm, raising sheep, goats, chickens, and cattle.
