Lauren Hamlett is an Attorney at Ellis Porter, where she focuses on high-skilled immigrant matters, including EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-2 National Interest Waiver, and Requests for Evidence. She works with clients in academia, technology, engineering, environmental fields, and entrepreneurship, including researchers and scientists. Lauren takes time to understand both the substance of each client’s work and the personal circumstances behind the case, then develops a strategy that supports both the petition at hand and the client’s longer-term immigration goals.

Before joining Ellis Porter, Lauren represented individuals seeking asylum in removal proceedings. She also helped clients pursue U.S. citizenship and represented them in citizenship interviews. She brings that background in direct client advocacy to a practice grounded in accessibility, responsiveness, and clear communication throughout the process.

Lauren’s interest in immigration law grew while studying abroad in Italy, where she volunteered with a local organization serving the migrant community. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, travel, reading, and cooking, especially making homemade pasta.
